Dvardala Hunting and forest axe
The Dvardala combines features from different axe types, and it’s developed for those who want a versatile axe that can handle a wide range of challenges during a day in the forest. It is based on the same design as our popular and award-winning axe Åby but with a shorter handle to fit better in a backpack. Now that we are launching a new Hunting axe our old hunting axe Ekelund will begin its new life as a small forest axe. We have removed the grind on the neck, other than that the axe stays the same.
Made at Hults Bruk
Just like all Hultafors axes the Dvardala and the Ekelund is made at Hults Bruk situated in the Hult Valley in south-eastern Sweden. Here the forging tradition goes all the way back to 1697. Since then, the craftmanship of our blacksmiths and the supreme quality of our Swedish steel has made our axes famous throughout the world.
Leather accessories
Our new range of accessories features a leather axe sling for carrying your axe on your back, perfect when you don’t want to carry a backpack. There’s also an axe holster for those who want to carry their axe easily accessible on their belt. To protect the handle from overstrikes, we have a leather overstrike guard, which you tie around the handle using a leather cord. The new range also features a timeless leather belt that matches the other leather accessories and our premium axes.
All the new leather products are embossed with the Hults Bruk logotype, and they are made from the very finest leather we could source. They are made in Sweden with hides from Swedish cows, and they are manufactured with the greatest care for the animals and the environment. The leather is vegetable tanned full grain leather for the best possible durability and the natural treatment means that it will age beautifully when worn.
We will also be updating our premium axes with new axe sheaths made with the same top-quality leather as our new accessories.
