How we work with accessibility – WCAG 2.1

Hultafors Group AB owns this website and is actively working to improve accessibility. We want everyone to be able to use the site, regardless of physical or cognitive differences. Our goal is to comply with the official guidelines for digital accessibility according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, at a minimum of level AA. Below, we describe how Hultafors Group AB approaches accessibility, list known accessibility issues, and explain how you can report problems to us so we can address them.

To ensure an inclusive experience, we are continuously working on:

  • Keyboard navigation – All functionality should be accessible without using a mouse.

  • Screen reader compatibility – The site is tested with screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver.

  •  Color and contrast adjustments – content must have sufficient contrast to be legible.

  • Structured and semantic HTML – Proper heading structure and ARIA attributes are used to enhance accessibility.

  • Regular testing – We conduct both automated and manual testing to identify and fix issues.

Known issues

We are aware that our site currently has several shortcomings that make it inaccessible to some users. Below are examples of issues we are aware of and plan to improve continuously:

  •  Some page titles/headings do not reflect the page content accurately.

  • Some parts of the website do not use semantic elements.

  • Some images on the site lack descriptive alt text.

  • Information is sometimes conveyed through color and shape alone, without accompanying text.

  • Some text does not have sufficient contrast against the background. Some images contain embedded text.

  • Some images contain embedded text

  • Some banners feature flashing animations.

  • Some videos lack subtitles.

  • Videos may lack audio descriptions.

  • Not all link texts are descriptive.

  • Some elements do not visibly show keyboard focus.

 

How we test the website

We are actively working to improve accessibility and regularly conduct accessibility testing (both automated and manual). We will update this accessibility statement when new information becomes available.
