A fabric to rely on
Our tool bags are made with a 1680D Polyester fabric. The D stands for denier and a higher denier means a thicker, sturdier, and more durable fabric. Standard fabrics for tool bags are typically between 300D and 600D so you can count on a tangible difference.
Tool carriers with a 1680D fabric are extremely durable and ideal for outdoor use and harsh conditions. The fabric is water repellent, resists stains, dust, and mildew, and can handle a wide temperature span. A high tensile strength means that it won’t rip or tear, neither will it stretch or fade. This gives you a product with extreme durability and a longer service life – a sound investment both economically and environmentally.

What is a Denier?
A denier is a measurement of how much a unit of yarn weighs, more precisely how much a 9000 meter long thread weighs. 1680 Deniers means that a thread from the fabric would weigh 1680 grams if it was 9000 meter long. The Denier count is not an exact measurement of the strength and durability of the fabric – there are of course other factors as well - but it is widely regarded as a good indirect measurement.
