The Golden Folding Rule

The construction industry’s most expensive folding rule.

In our own folding rule factory in Hultafors, where the iconic folding rule has been manufactured for more than 140 years, we have created two pieces that take craftsmanship to an entirely new level. Each folding rule is gilded by hand and valued at approximately €2,300. This is more than a tool – it is a collector’s item and a work of art.

Only two pieces exist. And neither will ever be sold.

One of the two gilded folding rules will find a new owner in connection with the Swedish fair Nordbygg 2026. At the fair, it will be displayed up close, and visitors will have the opportunity to win it through a competition. This means that a truly unique piece – and a part of Swedish industrial history in its most extravagant form – can live on with a new owner.
